Namibia is a paradise for the photographic enthusiast. The opportunity to catch close up images of the huge variety of wildlife is not to be missed. The scenery is breathtaking for the landscape enthusiast. The light quality is outstanding and the subject matter limitless.
There is no need for huge telephoto lenses or masses of gear. A reasonable zoom lens will give you close ups of the animals in the Etosha National Park. Even an ordinary compact will provide images that will amaze you.
For the serious photographer, a zoom in the range of 75 - 300mm is more than adequate. No need for a tripod - in Etosha, you can take all the pictures you want from your car window. A bean bag is all you need for a rest.
If required, we can provide the facilities for on site editing with a laptop and Photoshop CS2. You can save your images to CD or DVD if you wish. Bring plenty of memory cards, though. You will need them!
Whilst a guide is not absolutely necessary, if it's your first time in the country, we would recommend using one. He or she will find you the animals that you may not see otherwise and take you to the most scenic locations for those breathtaking sunsets or stunning landscapes.
